The HOYER Group has combined it Petrolog and Gaslog business as part of a new organisational structure to equip itself for the energy transition.
As of 1st Jan (2021), the Contract Division unifies contract logistics for gas and mineral oil supplies. The newly established business unit boast approximately 1,500 special trucks and 3,500 employees.
In a statement released yesterday (4th Jan), HOYER said its decision to organisationally combine the former Petrolog and Gaslong business units positions its favourably in the market.
Allan Davison, who took over as Contract Division Director at the start of the year, said, “It not only enables us to develop synergies, but also already positions us to effectively and proactively meet the challenge of the energy transition in the next five to ten years – away from petrol and diesel and towards alternative fuels such as hydrogen and LNG.”
Under the structure change, Mark Binns, Director of the Petrolog business unit, leaves Petrolog as it changes to Contract Division, and will concentrate on the further development of the Sustainable Management area.
